Continuing Education Credits
Act 48 (Pennsylvania only)
Center for Schools and Communities, as a division of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, offers Act 48 professional development credit to those with Pennsylvania teaching or administrative certificates.
To receive Act 48 credits:
- Participants must attend the training from beginning to end.
- After submitting the overall training evaluation, you can request Act 48 credits. This will be the only way and time you can request the credits. Your attendance will be verified.
NASW (Pennsylvania only)
Center for Schools and Communities, as a division of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, offers licensing credits for social workers through the Pennsylvania National Association of Social Workers (NASW-PA). They include:
- Licensed social worker (LSW) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW)
- Licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT)
- Licensed professional counselors (LPC)
CECs will be awarded for completion of this training as determined by NASW-PA. NASW has been designated as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education for social workers (Section 47.36), marriage and family therapists (Section 48.36), and professional counselors (Section 49.36) by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.
Participants must attend the training from beginning to end to receive these credits. Your attendance will be verified.
NASW certificates are available for a fee — $15 for NASW members or $25 for non-members.
After the training, participants are responsible for mailing the form, including payment, to NASW-PA, 1000 Bent Creek Boulevard, Suite 40, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
The NASW form will be provided at the training.
